Guest mode

✨ Invite simply, exchange naturally
Guest mode allows you to involve someone outside your la Vitre via a simple link, without any installation. Ideal for a one-time exchange with a traveling colleague, partner, or client without replacing your usual video conferencing tools.

Get closer, it changes everything.


Inviting a participant

From the Companion:

  1. Take control of la Vitre
  2. Click on "Invite a participant"
  3. Share the link via the channel of your choice:
    • Email or Teams (direct shortcuts)
    • WhatsApp, SMS, Google Chat, Slack, or others (copy the link with the icon on the far right)
    • All Vitres in the same space share the same invitation link

Guest side

To request connection:

  1. Click on the link received
  2. Allow full access to camera and microphone in your browser
  3. Enter your first name
  4. Wait for someone to accept your request on la Vitre

The exchange starts automatically upon validation. No account or download required.

La Vitre side

Accept the request:

  1. A "knock knock" notification appears at the top of the screen with the guest's first name

  2. Accept the request: the guest appears in a video bubble

  3. Manipulate the bubble on the touch screen:
    • Move it wherever you want
    • Enlarge or reduce its size
    • Double-click to switch to full screen

Frequently asked questions

How many guests can connect at the same time?

About 5 guests. For exchanges with more external participants, use your usual video conferencing tools.

Does the invitation link expire?

No, the link remains valid as long as you don't change la Vitre's space. Share it only with trusted people. No guest will be able to join la Vitre without your consent: you can decline the notification or not respond to it.

Can the guest share their screen?

Yes, the guest can share files or their screen from the browser interface; they also see all shares on the Vitres connected in the same space.

What to do at the end of the exchange?

Simply close the browser tab on the guest side, the bubble will automatically disappear on la Vitre.
