Daily exchanges

What are all the icons on the screen for?

On the la Vitre interface, you have several tools available on the right side of the screen: a pen to write, an eraser to delete…

How should I position myself for an exchange?

The best is to stand about 1.5 m from la Vitre, facing the screen.

To get your interlocutors’ attention, use the Knock button on the screen. The conversation starts.

How do I increase the volume?

You can adjust the volume from the “three dots” menu on the right side of la Vitre’s screen, or from the Companion app.

How can I see my self-view?

In the “three dots” menu (or in the Companion), the “Show my self-view” option lets you enable the self-view.

The window appears for about 30 seconds to give you time to position yourself properly.


Share and invite

How do I share my camera or my PC screen?

To show a presentation, a photo or your environment, sharing is done via the Companion app on mobile or computer.

Any shared item appears on all Vitres in the same space.

Can you join a Vitre from Teams or other apps?

Yes, thanks to Guest mode. You share a link so your colleagues can join from any device, with no installation.

Up to 5 people can join.

Privacy and end of use

How does Confidential mode work?

Confidential mode is activated via the Moon icon on the right side of the screen.

  • Once: Quiet mode. We see each other, without hearing each other.
  • Twice: Confidential mode. Blurred screen, we don’t see each other, we don’t hear each other.

Are my exchanges private?

Yes. Everything is live; nothing is recorded.

Audio and video streams are encrypted between Vitres. Shares are not saved.

What should I do after using it?

After use, notes, drawings and on-screen shares can be erased.

Pressing the Moon lets you go back to Quiet mode.

la Vitre is ready for the next person.
