Connect a Bluetooth accessory

✨ This guide helps you connect a Bluetooth headset to la Vitre during initial setup, then use it from the touch screen for your next sessions.

The same logic applies to other Bluetooth audio accessories, such as a lavalier microphone. If necessary, use a suitable sound card to manage the microphone input and audio output.

Before using any Bluetooth accessory, an administrator creates a preset so you can easily switch between shared audio (la Vitre speakers) and personal audio (Bluetooth headset).


Step 1: Pair the headset with Windows

Before using it with la Vitre, your headset must be recognized by Windows.

  • Activate the pairing mode on your headset. Consult its manual if needed.
  • On la Vitre, minimize the window by tapping twice on the logo at the top left
  • Open the menu "Windows > Settings > Bluetooth and devices".
  • Select "Add a device > Bluetooth".
  • Choose your headset from the list and complete the pairing.
  • Verify that it appears as connected.


Step 2: Create an audio preset in la Vitre

Once the headset is paired, create an audio preset to find it with one gesture.

  • Open the advanced Settings of la Vitre "Audio > Audio presets."
  • Press the blue plus in "Additional Presets".
  • Fill in:
    • Name: for example "Bluetooth Headset" or "AirPods Pro".
    • Audio output: choose the Bluetooth headset.
    • Audio input: choose the headset microphone.
    • Check "Connect Bluetooth on selection".
  • Save.
  • Leave the other settings as default, unless you have specific needs.


Step 3: Restart and test

  • Restart la Vitre application.
  • After restart, the new preset appears on the touch screen in the "three dots" menu.
  • Select the Bluetooth preset you created, for example "AirPods A".
  • la Vitre automatically connects to your Bluetooth device if it is turned on.


Good to know

  • Default preset: built-in speakers and microphone of la Vitre.
  • Bluetooth preset: paired headset or microphone.
  • You can create multiple presets: one per person or for different accessories.

Quick assistance

  • The headset doesn't appear: check pairing and connection in Windows.
  • The preset doesn't work: restart the la Vitre application and make sure you have checked "Connect Bluetooth on selection" in the advanced settings.
  • Poor sound quality: recharge the headset and move it closer to la Vitre.
