Share your screen and files

✨ Here's how you can easily share your files or your computer screen on la Vitre to work together face-to-face. The video shows how to share from a computer. It’s in French but the available steps are described below.



Share a file from the Companion

  • Open the Companion from lavitre.me and connect to la Vitre.
  • Select "Send a file".
  • Choose your document. Common formats are supported:
    • Images: PNG, JPG
    • Documents: PDF
    • Videos: YouTube, Vimeo links
    • 3D: STL, GLB, FBX, PDB, MOL, XYZ
  • Confirm. The file displays on la Vitre.
  • Control playback and volume from la Vitre for audio or video content.
  • To remove a shared file from the screen, tap the three dots on its tab or in the Companion, then "delete".

Share your device screen

  • Open the Companion from lavitre.me and connect to la Vitre.
  • Select "Share your screen".
  • Choose your full screen, a single browser tab, or a specific window.
  • Note that screen sharing from a smartphone or tablet shares the full screen only.
  • Confirm. The preview appears immediately on la Vitre.
  • Switch from one window to another if needed. What you show updates on la Vitre.
  • Select "Stop" at the bottom of your screen to end sharing on a computer, or tap the red button at the top left of your smartphone or tablet screen.

Tips

  • Turn off notifications when you share your screen.
  • If the text is small, use la Vitre's zoom by enlarging the file for better readability.
  • When you share your screen, be careful with personal files.
